~in a castle~
Roses woke up. Where am I? she thought. Looking around, she discovered she was sitting in a giant heart-shaped bed.
"Okay, what kind of drugs did Rosey put in my drink?" she said aloud to herself as she got up. She walked across the rather strange, seemingly heart-shaped room and looked in a heart- shaped mirror. She was wearing a red, somehow heart-shaped dress.
"AAAAHHHH!!! What am I wearing? Rosey, you will DIE!!!!" she screamed.
~far away in the woods~
"So, George, where exactly are we going?" Hansel asked.
"I don't know, TAS-man, and why did you call me George?" Cait-Dog replied.
"I'm not sure, but it seems appropriate. I mean, here we are in the woods, with a bag of bread crumbs, apparently lost, wearing these funny suspender things, and that looks like a house made of candy. Just reminds me of Hansel and Gretel."
"Yes, but George?"
"Would you rather be Gretel?"
"George is good."
"So, George, do you want to go inside the candy house?" TAS-man suggested, "There's probably a witch in there who wants to eat us."
"Ummm...okay, Hansel....That just sounds weird."
~inside the candy house~
"Would you stop that?" Jaina demanded.
"Sorry, but I can't help it." Crayak apologized. He was chasing her around the table, and surprisingly, he was a wolf. "It just seems like the right thing to do."
Jaina grabbed her red cloak and ran for the door, when suddenly it opened. Everyone stopped.
"TAS-man? Cait-Dog? Or should I say Hansel and um...Gretel?" Jaina asked, dodging Crayak again.
"It's George." Cait corrected.
"Oh."
~in a tower in the woods~
Tails stared out the window. Then she noticed where she was. She spun around, tripping on her hair.
"Hey! I just got my hair cut! No way it's this long already." she complained, walking to the door.
It was locked.
"Okay, this is not funny. Last I remember, I was in Rosey's fortress. Rosey!!!"
No answer.
"Rosey this is not funny! Holli? Roses? Let me out!!!!"
No answer.
"Okay, so we'll do it the hard way." she said to herself.
Tails walked over the door and started kicking it. "Ouch! How did I get these shoes? I can't kick the door down with these!"
"No, you can't." said a pleasant voice.
"Who's there?"
"It's just me, Pen/cil. Although, I seem to be a magic wand."
"Wow, so where are we?"
"I have no idea. But I'm thinking we should find a way out. Maybe you could use my magic powers."
~In a cottage in the woods~
Ann Chovi stared at the broom in her hand. "Okay, I know I didn't voluntarily pick this up. So Rosey must have done something strange. And I wonder where everyone else is."
From inside the window, she saw seven very short men coming towards the house.
"Uh-oh, I have to get out of here." she said, dropping the broom.
"Don't leave without me!"
"Without who?"
"Tyrael."
"Ty! Where are you?"
"I think I'm in the oven, it's really hot in here."
Ann opened the oven door to see a gingerbread man baking. "Ty?"
"Yes?"
Without answering, she grabbed him and ran out of the house, past the seven...dwarves? Yes, dwarves. They immediately turned around.
"Snow White! Snow White!" one called, "Where are you going?"
Ann kept running, the dwarves chased her.
"Ha, ha, ha! Run as fast as you can. You'll never catch me, I'm the gingerbread man!" Tyrael yelled back to them.
"What?" Ann asked.
"I have no idea, but I want to go home now."
"I think I see a tower up ahead, we'll see what it is." Ann gasped, still running.
~by the seashore~
"Wow, I think I lifted too many weights yesterday in my failing attempts to become a handsome stud," thought Roseidous. "I can hardly move."
He got up slowly from his chair and walked outside.
"Wait...since when did I get a house on the Mediterranean? Oh well, it's a nice place."
A few minutes later...
"No, I didn't buy a house on the Mediterranean. And how did I get here anyway? Hmm..the girls are probably up to something. Oh, well, time for a swim."
Then Rosey finally noticed he wasn't exactly normal. He was made of wood.
"Uh-oh...what did they do to me? I need to go find them immediately. The clones won't like me if I don't have real muscles anymore. Because, I mean, my muscles were so perfect to begin with."
He set off towards the woods, without noticing that his nose was suddenly a little longer.
~back in the castle~
"Did you hear someone scream?" Holli asked.
"No..." said Nothlit "Wait, does my voice sound weird?"
"Oh, that's just because you just woke up."
"No, I don't think that's it."
"Well, maybe you're sick. Let me take your temperature." Holli turned around.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"What? I look that sick?"
"Um, um, um...Nothlit? Have you noticed what I'm wearing?"
"Yes, and I'm not sure why you're so dressed up. I mean, a yellow ball gown is just not normal."
"Remind you of anything?"
"Actually, Holli, it reminds me of Beauty and the Beast."
"Exactly. For some reason, I'm Beauty."
"Ooookay, what kind of meeting did we go to? Did Rosey give us drugs? Oh, and if you're Beauty, where's the Beast?"
"Weeeelll..."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
Just then, there was a knock on the door.
"Come in." Holli said.
Roses walked in. "I thought I heard you talking. We seem to have a problem here. Rosey's stupid machine sent us to this fairy tale world. Apparently, we're all characters. And since the three of us are here, we can only wonder where everyone else is...All I can say is that when I find Rosey, it's off with his head!!"
Holli and Nothlit stared.
"Sorry, it's the character. Queen of Hearts."
~in the candy house~
"So, now what do we do?" Hansel, or rather, TAS-man asked.
"I don't know, but I think I saw a tower in the woods." Jaina replied, still running around the room. She tripped over a chair leg, and Crayak pounced on her. TAS and Cait glanced out window.
"My what big teeth you have." Jaina said, staring at Crayak as he prepared to bite her.
"All the better to eat you with, my dear."
"Yeah, good, now get off of me."
"Okay, fine. But why do I want to eat you? I mean, I know I'm Crayak, but I'm also the Big Bad Wolf."
"I don't know, must be some problem with Roseidous' machine. We have the minds of the characters, but we somehow kept our own minds, too."
"Oh, I see...Hey, maybe we should find Roseidous. He might know what to do." Crayak suggested.
"Yeah, that's a long shot, but it'll have to do, I guess." Jaina agreed. "Wait, where did Hansel and George go?"
They looked out the window to see TAS and Cait already headed for the tower in the woods.
Jaina made sure to lock her door, grabbed part of it as a snack, and she and Crayak ran to catch up.
~in the tower~
"Okay, so you're saying all I have to do is point you at the door, say Open Sesame!, and the door will open?" Tails asked Pen/cil, the Magic Wand, doubtfully.
"The only way to see if it works is to try." pointed out Pen/cil.
"Well...okay then." Tails picked up Pen/cil, pointed him at the door, said "Open Sesame!", and the door opened. Ann was standing on the other side.
"Let me in! Let me in!" she shouted.
"Not by the hair on my chinny-chin-chin!" Tails shouted back. "I'm getting out of here!"
"What?"
"Oh, sorry, got the fairy tales confused there for a minute."
"Okay, okay, so let us in!"
"No! I just escaped! Why do you want in, and what do you mean, 'us'?"
Ann held up the Gingerbread Man/Tyrael and then pointed over her shoulder to the dwarves, who were still chasing her.
"Oh, yes, well, come right in." Tails said, running back inside herself.
~in the woods~
Roseidous wandered along a path at the edge of the forest. Although, he was wandering slowly, considering that he was made of wood.
"I can't believe they all tried to use that machine at the same time. Now look where they got us. Although, I'm thinking it's better than Clyattville." He was saying to himself.
Suddenly, out of the bushes, appeared a White Rabbit. He was also talking to himself. "I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date!"
"Bunny!" Rosey cried, and began chasing the rabbit down the path. He turned a corner and followed the path as it made its way through a field, towards a castle.
~at the castle~
"My only question is...where is Rosey?" Holli said, pacing back and forth in the room.
"Yeah, and what character is he so that we can make fun of him?" Nothlit added.
"Nothlit, dear, you're the Beast, I'm not sure if you should be making fun of other people right now."
"Oh, right."
Roses was staring out the window. "Hey, guys! Look!"
Holli and Nothlit walked over to see a white rabbit running across the field and a strange, puppet-like thing trying, and failing, to catch up. A sudden wind swept across the field, picking up the puppet thing and blowing it towards the castle. As it flew closer to the window, Roses began to see that it really was a wooden puppet. A familiar looking one...
"Pinnochio?" she called. "No...wait....Rosey? Is that you? What are you doing?"
"I've got no strings to hold me down!" he yelled back. "The wind just picked me up."
Roses, Holli, and Nothlit ducked as the wind blew Roseidous right through the window. He crashed against the wall. "Ouch."
Roses grabbed him. "Off with your head!"
"No, um, let's not do that, Roses. And by the way, that's a great dress. Very...um..heart- shaped."
"Shut up."
"Okay."
Holli and Nothlit, meanwhile, were trying not to laugh.
~at the tower~
"Snow White!" the dwarves called, surrounding the base of the tower.
"I can't come down, the door's locked!" Ann yelled, innocently. "You just go home now."
"But we can't leave you! We have to protect you! Tell Rapunzel to let down her hair!"
"Rapunzel's busy."
And true, Tails was busy, laughing at Tyrael. "So..you're a gingerbread man?"
"Hey, Oh Hairy One, don't make fun of me."
"Okay, okay, fine. So what next? Want a drink?...Maybe some milk?"
Tyrael sighed as Ann and Tails giggled at the situation.
"You know," Ann said. "I can see a castle over there, past the woods. I'm sure Rosey's the only one who knows how to get us out of this mess. If he's anywhere he'll be in the castle."
"You think?" Tails asked.
"Well, he already thinks he's the king of the world, so yes, that's where he'll be."
"Now, the only question is, how do we get past your friends the dwarves and get to the castle?"
~in the woods~
"How much farther is it?" Cait complained.
"I don't know," TAS-man answered, "but it's not as far as it was to get to the right aisle that one time in Lowes."
"Oh, well that's good. Because you remember how long that took."
"Yeah, and we almost got hit by that train."
"Right. And then we--"
"Oh, shut up, guys, it's just around the next turn." Jaina said.
And as they rounded the turn, they saw the tower. And to their surprise, it was surrounded.
"Are those dwarves?" Crayak asked.
No one answered him. They were too busy staring at the dwarves, who were attempting to climb the tower. Then Jaina noticed who was in the room at the top.
"Hey, guys! Look, it's Rapunzel and Snow White--or um, Tails and Ann."
"Of course, who else would it be?" Crayak asked no one in particular.
"Hey, wait, Snow White was never locked in a tower, was she?" Cait asked.
TAS-man turned around and prepared to hit him for being stupid, but Jaina stopped him.
"We have to help them. Got any ideas?"
Crayak raised his hand.
~in the tower~
"This is not fun." Ann announced as the dwarves tried unsuccessfully to climb the tower.
"No. It's not." Tyrael agreed. "And I can't even see what's happening."
Suddenly, from out of the woods, a wolf appeared. He ran towards the tower, growling. The dwarves fled in terror. Then, as Tails and Ann watched from the window, Jaina, TAS and Cait walked up to the wolf.
"Hey, Crayak, that was a good idea!" TAS congratulated him.
"Did he say Crayak?" Ann asked Tails.
"Yes, he did."
"Maybe we should go down now."
"Yeah."
So Ann grabbed Pen/cil and Tails picked up Tyrael, and they all headed down the stairs. Pen/cil used his magic power to open the door again, and the two groups stared at each other.
"So." Jaina said. "A Magic Wand, Rapunzel, Snow White, and um...Ty? The Gingerbread Man?"
"Shut up."
Tails laughed at him. "And you are Little Red Riding Hood, the Big Bad Wolf, Hansel, and... Gretel?"
"George."
"Ah."
"Okay, so where are Holli, Nothlit, Roses, and the person we all want to kill, Roseidous?" Crayak asked.
"Well," Ann answered. "We figure he's in the castle. You can see it from the tower. Maybe the others are with him."
"Poor them." added Jaina.
Tyrael sighed. "Well, let's get going. The sooner we're all together, the sooner we can all go home."
"Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, it's off to the castle we go." Ann sang.
Everone stared.
"Sorry, you know how it is...it's the character talking."
So they slowly made their way through the forest, across the field, and up to the castle gate.
~in the castle~
"Okay, I've been sitting here for hours, and Roses won't stop staring at me with that "Die, Roseidous, Die!" look." Roseidous complained.
"Well, Roser, it is your fault that we're here. I mean, you should never have showed us that machine." Holli pointed out.
"And you know, you should tell us how to get out of here." Nothlit said.
"Well, I'd prefer to wait until everyone is here, then we can get out together." His nose grew a little longer.
"Rosey, are you lying to me?" Roses demanded.
"No...not exactly." And a little longer.
"You ARE lying!!"
"No, I'm not! Why would I lie to you, Roses?" By now, even he could see his nose. "Ahh! nevermind, I take it back! I am lying! Make it stop, make it stop!"
Holli and Roses started laughing at him again.
"Hang on," Nothlit interrupted them. "You mean you don't know how to get out of here?"
"Well, I'm hoping the answer will come to me by the time everyone else gets here."
Suddenly, they heard a knock, far away.
"That must be them now!" Roseidous announced, happy to have Roses distracted.
The four of them made their way through the castle, looking for the front door, when they found themselves in a ballroom. Holli and Nothlit immediately started dancing around the room.
"Tale as old as time." Holli sang to herself.
"What are you doing?" Roses stared.
"Um...I'm not sure."
"Well, stop it, we have to find the front door."
"Hey!" Rosey called from the hallway. "I found it for you Roses!"
Roses rolled her eyes. "He thinks he's going to get back on my good side." she whispered to Holli.
They walked to the door and opened it, to find everyone else standing there.
"Well, come in." Roses told them.
"Yeah. Be our guest." Nothlit added, then sighed. "Stupid characters."
So the Big Bad Wolf, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel, George, Snow White, Rapunzel, a Magic Wand, the Gingerbread Man, the Beast, Beauty, Pinnochio, and the Queen of Hearts, also known as Crayak, Jaina, TAS-man, Cait, Ann, Tails, Pen/cil, Tyrael, Nothlit, Holli, Roseidous, and Roses walked into the ballroom. They all stopped, stared at each other, and didn't say a word.
"Okay." Roses took charge. "Let's get out of here...somehow..."
***
"So basically," Roses continued. "We're all here because of Rosey's machine thing."
"Right. And since it's his fault, he has to figure out how to get us out of here." Holli said, glaring at him.
"Hey! Don't you start glaring at me, too. Roses does that enough for everyone."
"Yeah, well, if you can't get us out of here, it'll be worse than that. It'll be off with you head!" Roses shouted.
Everyone stared at her.
"Would you STOP THAT?!" Nothlit shouted in return. "Do you realize how many times you've said that today?"
"You know," she thought out loud. "I'm thinking maybe that's not the character talking. Maybe it's just my normal self. I rather like saying it."
TAS-man and Cait-dog had been talking quietly to each other.
"You think so?" Cait asked TAS.
"Yeah, just watch." TAS turned to address the entire group. "Guys? Remember how me and Cait rescued you that last time? Maybe we can do it again."
Jaina looked terrified. "No, please no."
"Okay, well does anyone else have any ideas?"
"I just want to be a real boy again." Tyrael complained.
Roseidous glanced at him.
"Oh, sorry, that was supposed to be your line, wasn't it?"
Suddenly, an apple tree appeared in the room.
Roses sighed. "Now what?"
Ann walked over to the tree.
"Hey, be careful," Tails warned. "You know what happens with Snow White and apples."
"Oh, this world is different, and besides, I'm hungry. The only other thing we have to eat is Jaina's front door and Tyrael."
Holli, Roses, and Tails smiled evilly at Tyrael.
"Have an apple." Tyrael said quickly.
So Ann reached up and grabbed an apple off the tree. She took one bite and collapsed on the floor.
"Uh-oh." Cait said.
There was another knock on the front door. Holli went to answer it, and before she could close it again, the seven dwarves ran into the room.
"Snow White, Snow White!" they yelled, running up to Ann. "They killed you!"
Tails looked at them angrily. "No we did not, and you know, I'm kind of tired of you guys."
The doorbell rang.
"Hey, since when did we get a doorbell?" Nothlit wondered, as he walked to the door.
The White Rabbit hopped into the room, and Nothlit followed, shrugging his shoulders.
"Bunny!" Roseidous screamed. The rabbit took one look at him, and ran across the room. Roseidous followed. "Don't leave me!!!"
Crayak started chasing Jaina again. "Noooo!!!!" Jaina yelled. "Get away from me!"
Meanwhile, the dwarves were trying to pick up Ann, while Tails shot sparks out of Pen/cil to stop them.
Roses turned around to talk to Holli and Nothlit, only to find that they were waltzing around the room again.
For reasons unknown to her, Roses started shouting "Off with their heads! Off with their heads!"
TAS and Cait ran by and threw bread crumbs at her.
Tyrael stared at the running, dancing, and screaming people from atop the table. "If I didn't know any better, I'd say the universe was collapsing...Nevermind, they're acting normal."
Some of the ceiling tiles crashed to the floor.
"The sky is falling, the sky is falling!" TAS and Cait chanted as they threw more bread crumbs at Roses.
"So it seems that I was right." Tyrael said, as the castle and the entire universe collapsed around them.
And they all lived happily ever after.
The end.
